  • The 48,000 sqft Cathay Pacific lounge, meant for the airline's first and business class passengers, allows in-transit passengers to check into their five individual rooms or Cabanas complete with a shower, a mini bar and deck chair to relax in. There's also a 32-seat restaurant, three bars, a library and 'personal living spaces' that are equipped with a desk, chair and a seat.

The Upper Class Clubhouse, the London Heathrow airport lounge for Richard Branson's Virgin Atlantic Airways, came in at Number 2. The lounge gives travellers enough entertainment options, since it's got a small movie theatre, pool table, an observation deck and cocktail bar.

Malaysia Airlines' Satellite Golden Lounge at Kuala Lumpur airport, German carrier Lufthansa's First Class Lounge at the Munich airport and Japan Airlines' lounges at Tokyo's Haneda airport round up the Top 5.
