In the days of Global warming and Conservation of fuels, something which has grabbed the headlines is Mukesh Ambani’s electricity bill is Rupees 70 lakhs. The main accused in the ordeal is his beautiful 27 storey dream-mansion in South Mumbai. ‘Antilla’ is drawn to the highlight yet again, this time, with regard to the amenities it consumes.
No surprises though, the 'Godzilla-sized' mansion stands 70 feet tall, with 3 helipads and 6 floors exclusive to car parking. With four residents-namely the Ambani family- and a housekeeping staff of 600 members, Ambani is definitely doing his bit in increasing the employment rate in the country. According to the bill for the month of September, Antilia consumed 6,37,240 units of power. To put it in perspective, an average household equipped with all electronic amenities consumes 300 units per month. Ambani was, in fact, given a discount of Rs 48,354 for prompt payment, so the Rs 70 lakh quoted earlier is minus this amount.
